![]() The Chocolate Bar Underground Gold Mine, located near Victorville, California, as been sold. This mine has a recently discovered quartz vein (upper vein) that is around 1 foot in width, and assays up to 16 ounces of gold per ton. In the photo of the vein, the width at the bottom is about 1 foot, and it narrows as it goes towards the surface. The surface in this air shaft is about 25 feet above the entry level. The photo is a composite of 3 photos showing a section of the vein. If the vein is continuous, it could run about 1,300 feet in length. The Chocolate Bar Gold Mine has been sold. It is currently undergoing further exploration activities to delineate the gold producing potential of the veins on the property. Already another probable vertical vein has been discovered using a VLF survey. Ongoing activities include accessing the existing vein inside the mine to determine the extent and feasibility of mining the vein containing 6,000 ounces of gold and another vein containing an undetermined quantity of gold. Planned core drilling of the newly discovered vein may take place in the future, also, to delineate its size and volume, as well as average gold and silver content. Email: goldmine@mine-engineer.com
